| Gedrin07-19-05, 03:00 PM | I'm looking for ideas. The idea is that a strong wizards guild, in a major city, has developed special practices and tools for creation of magic items. I'd like to reflect this training in the form of a PrC. This is not intended to be a PC class, so things that require time or bulky equipment are certainly open. Some way to lower the cost in gp and xp are my main desires. Just looking for suggestions. |

The Artisan Entry Requirements • The character must possess at least three item creation feats • The character must be able to cast 3rd-level spells Features • d6 hit die • 2+Int mod skill points every level (with class skills mainly in wizard class skills) • Poor BAB • Good will saves, poor fortitude and reflex saves • Gains +1 level of existing spellcasting at levels 2, 4, and 5 • Gains Exceptional Artisan feat (reduces time for item creation by 25%) at level 1 • Gains Extraordinary Artisan feat (reduces gp cost for item creation by 25%) at level 3 • Gains Legendary Artisan feat (reduces XP cost for item creation by 25%) at level 5 Otherwise, the Towers of High Sorcery sourcebook (published by Sovereign Press, for the Dragonlance Campaign Setting) has a decent Spell Broker PrC, with similar benefits. |
