Would having a negative cha modifier translate to actually having less that 3 turn attemps/day (2 in this specific case)? Also, after all this time, I've grown kinda bored with the ability in general. Do any of you know a good cleric variant which loses turning in favor of another (non-cha-based) ability? Or could it become a flaw? If you have any ideas/suggestions, please share. :) A |

There is also an alternate cleric build (I don't remember it offhand, but I believe it gets smite instead of turn undead and a few other changes. I could be wrong). There are also divine feats that let you use your turning attempts for other purposes. Honestly though, if you only have 2 uses a day, it's probably not worth substituting. I'm not sure if you even qualify for most divine feats (since they're based on charisma). I believe all of the variants to turning are charisma based. A few of the divine feats don't use charisma score, but you'd only have 2 uses per day (unless you took improved turning). This is mostly done to prevent power-gamers from substituting the ability so they can be as powerful without having a good charisma score. |
