| DreadArchon06-12-07, 02:57 PM | I'm considering allowing Paladins and Rangers to just whole-list spontaneous cast, like Beguilers or War Mages can. I doubt that this would be an issue for Paladins, but does this unbalance Rangers too much in their favor? |

Probably the Paladin would benefit more because his spell-list also contains heal/remove spells, so he can switch to backup healer more easily. And after all, it won't have much of an effect until high levels, where full casters are already far ahead in their magic might. One thing, if you make Paladin and Ranger spont casters, do the same favor to the Hexblade! Nobody ever thinks of the Hexblade :weep: |
| pitsnogle06-13-07, 02:10 AM | these are supposed to be DIVINE SPELLS anyways they are not supposed to be prep spell like a mage because they are granted by prayer and service. that is why paladins are holy warriors and have a holy symbol at some point and can automatically lay on hands because they are in favor of the gods. rangers too they are the protectors of nature or a re supposed to be at least. whatever is themost helpfull would surely be granted by the gods to hold back the tide of evil or to protect the equality of the realms |
