Point based character creation [Archive] - Wizards Community

04-09-05, 12:44 AM i guess this is the right place to ask this...

i remember reading a while back about a project someone was working on to create a system of Point based character creation using the DnD rules. What ever became of this? i think it'd be great as a change of pace (my current group is becoming a little bored with the normal system) and am very interested in it.

anyone know anything about it?

04-09-05, 03:00 AM You might find what you are looking for on page 169 of the DMG, it has a point buy system for stats.

04-09-05, 03:49 AM I think goose is looking for a system where 6 skill points per level is worth X points, d8 hit points is worth X points, etc.
