PrC Prerequisites and Weapon Groups [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-22-06, 07:02 PM How would the Weapon Groups system work with PrC prerequisites like the ones with Eldrich Knight (where you have to be proficient with all martial weapons)?

I'm really confused as to how I should deal with this, and there's nothing in the books that help me with this.

02-22-06, 07:46 PM Myself, I would have somethiong along the lines of:

Requirements
To qualify to become an eldritch knight, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
Weapon Proficiency: Must be proficient with Basic Weapons plus three or more additional weapon groups.
Spells: Able to cast 3rd-level arcane spells.

Rangers gain full proficiency in standard and 3 in weapon group model, as do Paladins amongst others, so it seams reasonable.
