In Unearthed Arcana a Sanity system is introduced, with rules for losing sanity for casting spells. Would those rules apply the same way to psions and psychic warriors and their powers?

I would say that yes they do. I'd withhold final judgement however since with the new Augmentation rules for psionics I might tweak the rules to be based entirely on PP expenditure rather than level.

An interesting option would be to allow Psionic attacks to do sanity damage and defense modes to provide sanity resistence.

If Psionic Combat even exists any more, as is being discussed :D

My guess is that Bruce has dropped it completely.

He has said that Mindscapes combat will be fully compatible with what is in the new system. What's more compatible than nothing?

More to the point, psionic combat is a flavorful addition to psionics, there is a good chance that psionics without psionic combat will leave a number of people feeling cold and looking for systems to add it in.. all the more reason to go pick up your brand new hardcopy of Mindscapes.

well, perhaps a little of topic, but is the sanitysystem similar to the one in d20cuthuluh(?).
