Question about bard variants... [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-26-04, 09:34 AM I would only take 1-2 level of Bard, multiclass into rogue or perhaps a racial paragon class, and then PrC into a bardic based class that does not give you +1 spell level bonuses (I can think of one off the top of my head in Complete Arcane and I vaguely remember Song and Silence having some).

12-26-04, 01:00 PM There's a Dragonlance product with such a thing. In the recently released War of the Lance sourcebook, there's a core class called the Master (which is essentially the heroic level Expert), in which you may choose to specialize in the Perform skill. Class abilities include many of the same inspirational types of abilities as the bard has.
