| DarkTouch02-20-04, 11:46 PM | Because that's the way Monte Cook designed them when he created them for the races in Arcana Unearthed. |
| WilliamPall02-21-04, 12:09 AM | So, for all intents and purposes, if someone were to want to make a 5, 10, or 20 level extrapolation of the Paragon classes . . so long as they were able to keep a semblance of balance . . . |
| JoAT02-21-04, 12:21 AM | Well, as a general rule, when designing racail... errrr... paragon classes, I try to equal either the LA or the Racial hit dice, to a minimum of three - at least, that's my own rule of thumb. As a general rule, the only limit is how much potential you can see amamber of that race having - paragon levels are basicly a slightly diffrent form of advancing a creature, as far as I can tell, so you could make racial levels that would advance as far as you can see the race going, without class levels. I know I have an ECL 0 race with about 27 avalible racial levels.... |
