Each and every race is turned into a bloodline, similar in working to those in UA. Because each character has a race and each race has a bloodline, no ECL boost is necessary. A sample bloodline (human) 0th: Medium humanoid (human), favoured class (highest NPC), speak common, skill boost (+1 skill point at this level and each subsequent level) 1: Bonus feat, favoured class (highest) 2: Minor stat boost (+1 naturally lowest ability score) 3: Special ability 4: Skill proficiency (A single skill becomes class skill irregardless of class) 5: Limited bonus feat (any that doesn't require other feats) 6: Stat boost (+1 any ability score) 7: Special ability 8: Jack of all trades (can use all skills untrained) 9: Bous feat (any) 10: Minor stat boost 11: Special ability 12: Skill boost 13: Limited bonus feat 14: Stat boost 15: Special ability 16: Skill proficiency 17: Bonus feat 18: Minor stat boost 19: Special ability 20: 1 ghost rank in all skills (for using the skill, it is treated as having 1 rank; overlaps with actual ranks; can't be used to fulfil any prerequisites) Etc. Special abilities (each time, select one): Favoured class (select one) Imitate class ability: Select any one class feature gained by class you could take levels in. You are treated one level higher for this single feature. For example, a human could select rage. He would be treated as a 1st level barbarian for raging. If rage is selected again, he is treated as second level barbarian (no benefit). If ability that is learnt at later level is selected, no immediate benefit is recieved. This stacks with actul levels in the class. Mastery of skill (select one skill): This skill has maximum ranks equal to HD+5 if it is a class skill. Selecting multiple times increases the maximum by 2. And so on. The table has certain logic behind it. Namely 0th: Half of racial traits. 1: Other half 2: Stat 3: Special 4: Skill 5: Feat 6: Stat 7: Special And so on. This template can, of course, be changed. Half-races get bloodline benefits from both sides, but at half the speed. A half-elf would, at first level, have 0th level stats of both parents. The entire progression goes thusly: Level: level of bloodline 0: 0 primary 1: 0 secondary 2: 1 primary 3: 1 secondary 4: 2 primary And so forth. The benefits can be given less frequently, if desired. Racial HD count as 2 levels for bloodline abilities. |

| Gilean09-18-05, 03:05 AM | Orc 0: Medium humanoid (orc), favoured class (warrior), speak orc, +2 strength, -2 all mental stats, darkvision, light sensitivity 1: Weapon familiarity (orc double axe), +2 strength, favoured class (barbarian) 2: Skill bonus (intimidate or survival): +2 racial 3: Special 4: +1 constitution 5: Bonus feat (select one: armor proficiency [light, medium], cleave, diehard, dodge, endurance, great cleave, improved bull rush, improved critical [any spear], improved overrun, improved sunder, improved unarmed strike, martial weapon proficiency, power attack, run, self-sufficient, toughness, weapon focus [any axe or spear]) 6: As 2, or select either as a class skill regardless of class 7: Special 8: +1 strength 9: Bonus feat (as above) 10: As 6, racial bonus can be further increased by 2 11: Special 12: +1 strength 13: Bonus feat 14: As 10, add climb to the list 15: Special 16: +1 constitution 17: Bonus feat 18: As 14, add jump to the list 19: Special 20: +1 strength Special: [stuff] In other words, I'll fill this if someone is interested. I can add more human specials too, but these are specific to my notions of humans and orcs. |
