Racial Paragons and Hit dice [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-22-05, 03:51 AM I was just wondering if Racial paragon levels should count as Racial hit dice when it comes to Special attacks, etc.

I could go either way on it right now. What do you all think?

03-23-05, 08:37 AM I'm not sure what you mean by racial hit dice and what it affects? Can you give an example. I can't think of any special abilities that require racial hit dice. Only hit dice matter.

I've only seen abilities which use hit dice and character level and class level; none that I know of specify racial HD. The only thing I can think of is how half-dragons boost the racial HD by one category.

03-23-05, 06:23 PM No class abilities, true. I meant monstrous abilities really. (I think I should have been more specific. :( ) It wouldn't come into play often. (Like some templates, Half-dragon, etc.)
