Rebuilding the Vermin Lord's Hivemind [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-22-07, 03:57 AM Hey guys, I'm about to start DMing a campaign and would like to include an NPC Vermin Lord (I might play one two in another campaign), but I'm afraid its broken, infact, I know it is.

So my thoughts on the Hivemind is to limit the Spellcasting gained by the Hivemind to the Vermin Lord's ECL.

Anythoughts on this?

Vermin lord is 3.0 rihgt? And not updated. Well use it as you wish, if you're the DM and you're going for it, it's not a big deal to alter the rules. IIRC Vermin Lord was published before any swarms were created, so if you wnat it balanced, use only monstrous spiders and centipedes and stuff like that.
