For example, instead of having rage twice a day, a barbarian would have rage with recovery time of 12 hours. This could be applied to spellcasters, as well. For reference, a table x/day--> recovery time 1-->1 day 2-->12 hours 3-->8 hours 4-->6 hours 5-->5 hours 6-->4 hours This would reduce power of such abilities a bit, of course. Especially if applied to casters. The recovery times could be lessened a bit if balance is desired. For example (the number of uses is first reduced from 24 to get the results) x/day--> recovery time 1-->23 hours 2-->11 hours 3-->7 hours 4-->5 hours 5-->4 hours 6-->3 hours 7-->2 hours and 25 minutes (or 2 and a 1/2 hours) 8-->2 hours 9-->1 hour and 40 minutes (or 1 and 2/3 hours) 10-->hour and 25 minutes 11-->hour and 10 minutes 12-->1 hour 13-->50 minutes 14-->45 minutes (the small difference comes from me rounding to nearest 5 minutes) 15-->35 minutes 16-->30 minutes 17-->25 minutes 18-->20 minutes 19-->15 minutes 20-->12 minutes 21-->8 minutes 22-->5 minutes 23-->3 minutes 24-->At will |
