Review of Unearthed Arcana [Archive] - Wizards Community

I "reviewed" Unearthed Arcana here (http://pub31.ezboard.com/fjestersplayhousefrm11.showMessage?topic ID=101.topic) for some friends. I thought some of y'all might find what I wrote interesting.

Yeah - this is my opinion of some of the material in the book, but that's what a review is, after all.

02-21-04, 05:32 AM I just got the book and I love it. Unearthed Arcana has got to be one of the best books WotC has put out for a long time (and that is saying something as they have published some good books.

class variants are cool
spell points are cool even if similar to psionics
options for low power games are cool
options for high powered games are cool

to me it sort of hints at things to come. there may never be a fourth edition (good thing after all i have spent on 3rd). there may likely be alternate rule concepts around the d20 system (good thing as they will continue to take my money while allowing me to use my old books).

worth the buy.
