| HomebrewedMonster03-11-05, 05:00 AM | I was thinking about instituting a new house rule about poison saving throws. Basically this is how it would work: If you are hit with a weapon coated in poison, you make your fortitude save. Now for those that succeed, they are now a little weaker from the poison. If they are again hit by the same poison they take a -1 to their fortitude save (this would be cumulative). So let's say the human barbarian was hit by 3 drow sleep arrows, he now has a -3 to the save on the next one he is hit by because he has so much poison already running through his viens. Feedback? |

That indicates to me that higher doses==higher DC. However, be sure to add a time limit. I would say that only poisons in the last minute should count; the time between the initial and secondary effects. Otherwise, if the barbarian is hit by a sleep arrow later that day, the poison has already run its course and shouldn't make it harder for him. |
