I could rule that it just expands the spells-per-day-list for a wizard (no additional spell points) but this would lower the original value of it. What do you think? |
| Ulden Throatbane05-01-04, 04:52 PM | Each type of ring of wizardry gives you a number of spell points equal to 4 spells of that rings level: RoW I: 4 RoW II: 12 RoW III: 20 RoW IV: 28 RoW V: 36 etc. The fact that you can spend these spell points at any level makes up for that fact that they don't give the same number of spells when bonus spells are factored in. |

One problem: Sorcerers. It would probably be more like # of spell points for 1st level spell * number of spells a character of that level would have (so would have to refer to PH for this). |
| Ulden Throatbane05-03-04, 01:36 AM | If both wizards and sorcerers are using the spell point system, then I would be in favor of giving sorcs more spell points from the RoW then a wizard would. On the other hand, I probably wouldn't allow wizards to use spell points without making major alterations to either the wizard or sorcerer class. But that's a different topic altogether. I would like to make the RoW in a spell point system independent of the spell-slot version, but that's just me. |
