sindar 04-04-04, 03:24 PM	Ok if i wanted to use spell points in a campaign and I wanted to use Psionics what progression would the Psion and Psychic warrior use.
riceisnice 04-04-04, 03:31 PM	They'd use whatever the psionics book says they'd use. Spell points have got nothing to do with psionics. Spell points are for spells, power points are for powers.

In the setting I'm working on spell/power points power both Magic and Psionics. The differance between the two is mainly that Psionic Powers do not scale with the caster well Spells do. Also there is the fact that the abilty to preform magic is an trait which only current races or indaviduals naturally posses. I figure the Psion would get the Wizards spell point progression and the Psychic warrior would get the Bards. Options.

Oops - then you might want to hold on to your old psionics book, since the Expanded Psionics Handbook will incorperate scaling, pretty much as written in the spell point rules... It's called augmentations, and although it isn't just damage that's being scaled by increasing one's PP usage, it might be too similar to arcane/divine magic for what you want. :( Try taking a look at the psionics excerpt recently posted on the Wizard's website. You might like what you see, and decide to change the way your world works... I sure know I would! :D Cheers. :mage:
