Hello. I'm thinking of starting a new campaign in a few weeks and i'm thinking of giving the wizards the spell recharge variant while giving the sorcerers the spell points variant. I'm currently seeking opinions on how ethier or both of these variants worked for people and whether or not using the both of them together is wise.

I wouldn't combine them like that. Perhaps every round or minute you gain a number of spell points equal to your mental ability score modifier?

I personally don't think that will work well. The Wizard will be able to cast an average of 1600 level 1 spells in a 16 hour day! What does the sorceror get to ballance this?

Plus the wizard has the advantages of both being able to prepare his spells and cast them spontaneously, with almost none of the disadvantages.

If you go with this system, either the sorcerer needs a serious boost, or the wizard (along with the cleric and druid) needs to be brought out and beaten silly with a nerf bat.

Maybe you could give the sorcerer and wizard the same amount of spell points, but give the sorcerer reserve spell points (like UA p119) as well. That may be too much though so you may want to tinker with the number of reserve points. Maybe half the points as normal would be fine.
