Hi! I just took a look at the SRD and saw the variant Spellcasting system known as "Spell points" and I thought it was kind of interesting.

I think that it is something like the system that the Psionics make use of also, right?

Look at this:

If Boredflak’s Intelligence were increased to 20 because of a fox’s cunning spell or a headband of intellect +4, he wouldn’t gain any additional bonus spell points, since those effects produce temporary changes, not permanent changes.

So, if a headband of Intellect does not affect spellcasting anymore (Just the DC, I presume), what kind of magic item grant more spell points?

(I think the answer can be found in Psionics, but I donīt play them and I donīt have the book)

Which SRD? Can I get some links please?
The Spell Point System which was first unveiled in Unearthed Arcana has a table for bonus spell points based of your casting stat on page 154.

Hypertext D20. Sorry, too illiterate to do a clicky thing to it. I have the site on my desktop and recommend it highly!

Eh. I houserule that if you sleep with the headband on, and then keep it on, you can use the extra spell slots/points/etc as if you had a higher INT score. If you take off the headband, you loose those points/slots/etc instantly.

In not houseruled, a Pearl of Power or Ring of Wizardry would do it.
