Well, the question is in the title...

Does anybody know where i could find the Spell Points (Unearthed Arcana) for alternate base classes, such as the Assassin, Beguiler, Duskblade, Hexblade, Warmage or other ?

I started making the tables by myself, but i would like to compare with another source, as i don't have any really formula to calculate the SP.
Thanks in advance.

Look for a standard class that offers the same spell casting progression and then that. This will work in 95% of the time.

Assassin is a base class now? I thought it was a PrC.....

That would be helpful....
Unfortunately, most of the mentionned classes don't have a comparable progression.
That's the point of my question.

Beguiler, Favored Soul, Warmage: As Sorcerer
Hexblade: As Paladin/Ranger
Duskblade or any other class or PrC: Make your own progression. Here's how it works, its so simple if you haven't figured it out already:
For each level of spell multiply the spells per day by the spell point cost.
Add the total together and you have your spell point total for that class level.
Repeat for class levels 2-20.

I hope this helps.

On the subject, I know someone must have aasked along time ago, but how do epic spells work with spell points?

I'm not sure if what I'm about to suggest works, cause I haven't checked the math, but as far as I can tell the values given in UA are simply working under the assumption that you have X/X/X/X spells per day and if you convert these numbers into the spell points required to cast spells of that level and add it all up it equals Y.

So, looking at Duskblade at 1st level, he can cast 2 1st level spells and those cost 1 spell point each, so he gets 2 spell points. At 5th level he can cast 5 1st level spells (1 spell point) and 2 2nd level spells (3 spell points) so he has 11 spell points.

I hope you like Math :D

Edit: Damn, beaten to it by the guy above. However, I can answer his question! As spell points seem to work off as being equal to the level it would take a Wizard to cast that level of spell, I assume a 10th level spell (which is obtainable at 21st level... right?) would cost 21 spell points.

On a slightly different topic:

Has anyone ever played/run a campaign using the Spell Points variant? I am starting a campaign and interested in using it and wondering if anyone has any tips/advice/observations?

Did I just hijack this thread? I'm sorry... shall I start another one?

I use the system in my campaign. My suggestion: Do it, it's worth it.

Good, glad to hear it!

But why? Why, in your opinion, is it worth it?
