Starting money for racial paragons [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-11-04, 11:44 PM Racial paragon classes can be taken at first level according to the description. What do you suppose the starting gold should be for these classes? Is there a rule anywhere that covers this?

(I'll withhold my opinion so I don't bias anyone.)

03-12-04, 12:10 AM I would suggest giving them the same starting money as that race's favored class. I.E. a gnome paragon starts out with 4d4x10, an elf paragon starts out with 3d4x10, etc.

For human and half-elf paragons, start them out with 5d4x10 gold as a middle-of-the-road value.

03-12-04, 12:09 PM I don't have my books with me right now but I think starting gold is loosely based on armor proficiency. So classes that can wear heavier armor should get more money.
