Hi,

I tried a search on this, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm hoping ot incorporate sanity into a potential campaing, but I find the version in Unearthed arcana to be a little cumbersome, and heavy on the book-keeping. Can someone recommend a similar, but more streamlined version?

The verion in UA seems pretty simple to me. there's just one number to keep track of. I've never played with it, but it's the same as Call of Cthulhu which I can tell you works great. what don't you like about it?

The only complicated part is what happens if you fail your check.
If you replace that entire thing with "GM's Discretion", that should simplify it as much as you need.

Actually, two numbers. Sanity, and Forbidden Lore.

technically, true. (technically the entire core books can be replaced by a small, buisiness card sized sheet of paper that says "the DM is always right" (I should make that and market it at Gen Con as the most versatile RPG EVER))

ah, touché. I stand corrected.
