And then I had this thought, what if taking vile damage also had the potential for corrupting you on a deeper level than even the BoVD goes. What does everyone else think of this? What if when something takes vile damage, the victim also must pass a fort save of DC (10 + total VD taken) or gain 1 to their taint score for every 5 points of vile damage they take? This would apply mostly to the damage PC's take, since they will be the ones that survive most encounters and have to deal with the lingering effects of taint, so it would benefit their enemies more. The vile damage could be healed as per normal for vile damage, but even then, the taint would remain, unseen by the PC until it builds up enough. I also had the idea that getting bitten by a vampire would also increase a character's taint score by some amount. What do you think? |

Hmm, :thinks: maybe just make them take a fort save DC 15 no matter how much VD is taken and if they fail, they just gain a single point of taint, regardless of how much VD they took. And its not like EVERY enemy spellcaster will be flinging vile spells at them (just more than average :D ) |
