Are they applied to your Vitality points? or Wound Points? If they are just applied to Vp then there is no real change in power, but if they are applied to Wp then their usefulness is allot more apparent. |
| IronMouse06-14-07, 04:37 AM | Why not apply it like healing? Rolled amount goes to VP, fixed bonus goes to WP. |
| RobbyPants06-14-07, 10:43 AM | I guess I would expect them to be applied to your Vitality, but maybe I'm not understanding the system well enough to begin with. I just seems that Vitality is the closest approximation to HP in that system. |
| highbulp06-14-07, 10:59 AM | I apply them straight to Vitality. But in my game, your Max Wound Points never change unless you permenantly increase your Con--it keeps things simpler for me. |

Essentially your vitality is nothing but a representation of how well you can roll with a blow and avoid major damage. One thing to note is that using the V/W system greatly increases the benefit of the critial hit. You don't get the 2 or 3x damage anymore, but damage goes straight to wounds ... which, if they are equal to your Con score, can still be potentially devestating to even high level fighters. |
