I decided to expand on the idea of training feats mentioned in Unearthed Arcana. The idea that they would need someone to provide them with education to expand their feats before gaining them. I thought about it and modified it, they can gain feats normally, but they can also be trained for feats if they can find someone to teach them.

This person who is trained must meet all of the prerequisites for said feat and must also spend gold or perform some favor for the one teaching the feat. The feats that can be taught are also limited, tactical feats cannot be taught, nor can things that would modify class abilities, such as greater rage or extra rage. Racial specific feats also usually cannot be taught. In order to teach the feats the master must be at least 2 levels higher than the one they are training and must also have the mentor feat. The person learning the feat has to do a series of checks and tests to learn the feat, if they fail they can try again but they have to pay for an additional try.

Overall it's been good for my game because it means that if my players want to do something like a forsaker or some other being that doesn't use magical items or doesn't want to constantly upgrade gear can use it for feats, that is if they can afford it.
