Transmuter Variant [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-25-04, 09:25 PM I'm thinking about taking the Variant Transmuter that lets you change memorized spells (can't remember what it's called, don't have my book right now), but I do think the price is a bit steep. I'm not quite sure what I've decided, but can you help me out finding a variant of that variant that's a bit easier to take, but still acceptable to a GM?

09-26-04, 10:16 AM Honestly, I think giving up your specialist bonus spells is a fair tradeoff for essentially being able to rememorize spells on the fly. Speaking as a DM, I wouldn't allow player-requested tweaking on the UA specialist variants.
