| couchmonkey03-09-07, 05:13 PM | I'm currently playing an Artificer in a campaign. My DM is letting me use UA Craft Points because his campaigns are typically fast paced and we both agreed that the Artificer's need for crafting time might bog the game down. Anyways, I have a fellow PC who is freaking out right now because one of their NPC friends has been infected by one of our DM's notoriously fast acting, Homebrew Poisons. So I looked at the Craft Point system to see if I could instantly make a Neutralize Poison Potion. Well, it says that the fastest the Craft Point System can make an item is a single day. The point is that Potions only take a day of work anyway. So, why the hell would you want to spend Craft Points on Potions? Where's the benefit? Am I missing something? They even translate a potion's price via Craft Points in the Sample Crafted Items Table on page 98. Why? |

Is this an editing error in which WOTC overlooked their own rules or am I missing something specific that makes Craft Points still useful in regards to Potion Brewing? |

You're actually not any worse off than you were without Craft Points but hey! you can make a +5 vorpal flaming burst icy shock longsword in ONE day now!!!!!! :) To be consistent, you have to use Craft Points with potions too... |
