Actually i was just about to post something i had made to change this when i saw your post, so now i will post it here instead. Its generally just a new save that gives you a certain bonus depending on your hd: Injury save bonuses Level D4 D6 D8 D10 D12 1 +1 2 +1 +1 +2 3 +1 4 +1 +2 +3 5 +2 6 +2 +3 +4 7 +3 8 +2 +4 +5 9 +3 10 +4 +5 +6 11 +7 12 +3 +4 +5 +6 +8 13 14 +7 +9 15 +5 +6 16 +4 +8 +10 17 +7 18 +6 +9 +11 19 20 +5 +8 +10 +12 Save: Injury base + Con + general save bonuses Except from this i might implement this myself in one of my campaigns. |

I like it, it's simple and not as subjective as the other systems. With the Injury system you actually have a chance to avoid damage altogether (though I disagree with it being a Fort save, it should be a Ref save). As for the REF save instead of FORT save, are you sure that's such a good idea. It makes rouges and bards (!) more adept at avoiding damage than the warriors. No, I think that the damage save should be FORT, but you could have an "AC save" that's opposed by the attack roll. So whenever you're attacked it's an opposed roll, your REF save versus your attackers attack roll. If he hits, you roll a FORT save against the damage value to see how injured you got. |
