Get an EHB, 3.5 30th level feels like 2e 20th level. You just use Bell Curve for rogue skills, invert Armor Class and favor rolling low to hit, and you got yourself an oddly familiar revision (we'll take the mean and call it 2.75). Thoughts? |

They can actually make level 20 in 3/3.5(whatever) with the time they have(we are all busy people I believe).. This just makes the game more fun as PCs feel themselves as powerful beings, and they can actually influence something in their fantasy world, which is what the game is all about. Granted.. I think that the epic level campaigns still needs a lot of work before people can feel that the game can extend to infinite(or 99) levels with balance still intact. |

I think that the epic level campaigns still needs a lot of work before people can feel that the game can extend to infinite(or 99) levels with balance still intact. I agree whole heartedly with the whole Epic thing. My players and I decided that after 20-25th level (whenever things get boring) it`s time to start over with some new characters. However if WoTC could make it work than we would all entertain Epic level characters. Realistically though this is really hard to do and I`d rather just stop at around the 25th level for now, and then start over with new characters. I`m not ripping on anybody out there either that enjoys Epic level campaigning, it`s just boring to me personally when you can woop up on everything and it just seems like it would ruin the "fabric" of our campaign world. |
