Undead companion question [Archive] - Wizards Community

I have a quick question reguarding the Specialist Necromancer varient rule that allows you to give up your familiar for an undead servant. If a necromancer utilizes this option do the corpsecrafter series of feats from libirs mortis apply to it?

11-01-04, 02:18 AM I'd have to say yes. Along with any other feats that increase your ability to create Skeletons.

11-01-04, 03:02 AM Thats 100% up to your DM, first its a variant rule, and secondly it isnt Technically a spell. All of the Corpsecrafter feats, and even the Necromancer Variant +4 Str/Dex/+2HP thing in UA states its "Any undead created with any Necromancy Spell" Thus if it isnt exactly a spell, i think its worded as a Ritual, then it is up to the DM. So these and the Summon Undeads get no bonus from the Corpsecrafter Feats or the Variant Undead boosts.
