With the LA buy down rules, it's possible to pick up just about any LA +3 or lower template without losing your class levels. Personally, I'm trying to make a list of templates that would work for a LG Exalted Monk. This assumes the ability to find wishes or have fairly good access to the rituals from savage species. So far, I have come up with (and not all of these would fit into the theme, but I'm still working) Half-Ogre (+1), Half-Minotaur (+1), Half-Giant (+2), all 4 Half-Elementals (+2 each), Half-Dragon (+3), Half-Celestial (+3, wingless), and Half-Golem (+?, seems okay, but the Int and Cha penalties suck). I thought of Celestial, but thought Celestial / Half-Celestial was to much even for me. I also considered and decided against Feral and Mineral Warrior. Soldarins ECL Calculator has a bunch of precalculated LA's, though I can't vouch for the accuracy of all of them. And, they don't cover MM2 or Fiend Folio. So, any better suggestions? Or, any other twisted combos? I do realize that gaining levels will be rather slow this way. I also realize that buying down multiple LA (one at a time of course) will be tricky to say the least (that is if you want to do it in the least xp expensive fashion). This bit of cheese was inspired by the Paragon Squirrel of Death in another thread!:)
