Well, the only thing i can remeber, which i liked alot was replacing wild shape with aspects of nature (I think it was called)... You gained special nature related abilities for a limited time... for example, wings or claws. I think u could still cast spells when using these abilities.

There is a variant, as Crash said, that lets you exchange uses of wildshape to get nature-related abilities. There is also a variant that allows you to exchange your animal companion and spontaneous casting abilities and to take a -4 penalty on wild empathy checks to gain the barbarian's fast movement, rage, and tireless rage abilities (but not the greater rage or other abilities). Finally, there is another version that allows you to give up your armor and shield proficiencies and wildshape ability to gain a monk's AC bonus (base and Wis), monk's fast movement, ranger's favored enemy, swift tracker ability, and the track feat.

Finally, there is a variant where instead of preparing your spells, you would simply know a limited number of them, and you cast them spontaneously. The table is identical to the sorcerer's spells known table, except that at odd levels, you know 0 spells of the new spell level gained, and that you also know the appropriate summon nature's ally spell of that level.
