Variants replacing Familiars non-specialized [Archive] - Wizards Community

A.) Effective

B.) Does not require specializing in a type of magic

C.) Replaces a wizard's familiar

05-27-07, 02:22 AM Arcane Reabsorbtion, Wizard Variant dragon 338 pg 88.

Basically gives the wizard a chance to reclaim a spell that they just cast, and retain the spell for use again. It does require a pretty high spellcraft roll and does non-lethal damage, but it is pretty effective. You also of course lose summon familiar.

05-27-07, 04:50 AM I'd granted the Rapid Metamagic feat from Complete Arcane to Sorcerers in exchange for a Familiar if I don't get to use other things.
