Ok, my DM is running a campaign right now that will start single class and turn gestalt at level 5. From there, we will advance like Gestalt characters. Now, I have a question. I have a LvL 1 Warlock. At level 5, I am taking Swordsage. Now, for determining which maneuvers I can learn should I:
1)Combine all the hitdice and figure it that way (as normal)
or
2)Since this is not a noraml multiclass character, should I count the Swordsage levels separate from the rest and gain maneuvers as a Swordsage of the appropriate level?

I would count the swordsage levels, and half of the straight warlock levels. Not half of the warlock side of the gestalt, though. So, at level 5, when you gain the Swordsage class, your initiator level would be 3. And it would increase as normal after that. Each level you take with an initiator class adds one to that, and every level you take without an initiator class would add .5.

I would say ask your DM, he is making his own system, and he can probably tell you in about 4 seconds.
