| adecoy9511-26-06, 06:27 PM | most books are open that are not a campaign setting (fareun and stuff are not open, and the spell compendium, oddly enough) all the completes, races, dragon, liberis nine swords im looking for a gestalt class to go with a shapeshifting druid that will be able to compete in a high magic setting (+25 weapons and crazyness) any suggestions would be appreciated, even if its "this is a dumb idea" |
| Witch11-26-06, 07:20 PM | Since you're asking for what 'breaks' wild shape, I don't think I want to help. If you'd be wanting to optimize, I'd gladly help. Breaking should never be a goal. Asides, +25 weapons are insane as well. What is this you're playing at, level 100? |

What is this you're playing at, level 100? yea i suppose break is a strong word... i suppose i should say what can i do to be on the same level as said weapons in this campaign we play in  we are currently level 35 and planning on probably doubling that very fast EDIT i am looking at the psionics handbook and there is this feat called deep impact... that attacks as a touch attack, thats the only thing i can find for touch attacks but it has to use a weapon :( |
| Grizzled Gryphon11-27-06, 02:26 AM | Well, as claws are a weapon... Anyway, I guess some clariifcation is in order, here. You have already been playing, and now you want to make your existing Druid into some sort of gestalt class? With which to make your Wild Shape into all that it can be? While it seems strange to me to pick up the other half of a gestalt build at so high a level, too each there own, I say!! LOl. Anyway, Psychic Warrior can be nice, as a lot of the powers they get can or are focused on claws. Or rather, CAN be focused on claws. Also, there are a lot of nice psionic feats that can be applied to claws, too. Or bites, or whatever, for that matter. Some of the manuevers in ToBBo9S would be nice, also. Hmm, Druid/Warblade... I need to look into that... |
| adecoy9511-27-06, 05:19 PM | its actually a new character, my previous one got banished |
| prozacman11-30-06, 02:38 AM | i actually just made a druid gestalt for a 20th level game i'm running. i dunno if its as powerful as you want. With 20h lvl gold i gave it an armor over 60 while wildshaped. Without further ado... 1)Druid1/ warblade1 2)Druid2/ warblade2 3)Druid3/ warblade3 4)Druid4/ warblade4 5)Druid5/ warblade5 6)Nature's Warrior1/ Monk1 7)Nature's Warrior2/ Monk2 8)Master of many forms1/Warblade6 9)Nature's Warrior3/Warblade7 10)Nature's Warrior4/Warblade8 11)Nature's Warrior5/Warblade9 12)Warshaper1/Warblade10 13)Warshaper2/Warblade11 14)Warshaper3/Warblade12 15)Warshaper4/Warblade13 16)Warshaper5/Warblade14 17)Nature's Warrior6/Warblade15 18)Nature's WArrior7/Warblade 16 19)Nature's WArrior8/Warblade 17 20)Nature's WArrior9/Warblade 18 You'd need DM approval to go more than 5 lvls on Nature's Warrior, its a straightfoward class, so its easy to repeat what it does. If you can't do that you can always take more levels in Master of Many Forms and turn into some mean stuff, not to mention getting a buncha useless wildshapes, just begging to be utilized by some mean feats. Either way, you get 12 maneuvers outta warblade, you could switch the monk levels for swordsage and get light armor and 7 new known maneuvers.. but its an NPC in my game, i didnt wanna deal with the extra maneuvers, the shape changing, the fast healing, the DR, the pouncing, tripping, grappling, chewey, explody death. and 2 sets of maneuvers. This thing had an AC of over 60 in fleshraker form. And a grapple check over 40. i didnt bother to optimize much with the 8 feats you have to play with after Prereq's for the classes. But you do get improved grapple and combat reflexes. From monk levels. So you could still have room for pretty much any one feat chain. with another 15 levels you could do a lot of mean mean things. |

| Grizzled Gryphon11-30-06, 12:41 PM | The Fleshraker is a dinosuar in MM3. Nice animal companion, too. |
| forrestfire1511-30-06, 05:02 PM | my recomendations: 1)druid/rogue 2)druid/fighter 3)druid/rogue 4)druid/fighter 5)druid/rogue 6)druid/master of many forms 7)druid/master of many forms 8)druid/master of many forms 9)druid/master of many forms 10)druid/master of many forms 11)psichic warrior/warshaper 12)psichic warrior/warshaper 13)druid/nature's warrior 14)druid/nature's warrior 15)druid/nature's warrior 16)warlock/master of many forms 17)warlock/master of many forms 18)druid/master of many forms 19)druid/master of many forms 20)druid/master of many forms list of reasons why I've included classes: rogue: skill points fighter: BAB and bonus feats master of many forms: improved wild shape and 10 extra wild shapes/day warshaper: morphic weapons and morphic body psichic warrior: bonus feats and low level utility powers nature's warrior: nature's arament warlock: low level utility invocations and eldritch blast also, take practiced spellcasting(druid) for CL21 with druid spells hope that helps:) |
| Krusk12-01-06, 01:29 AM | Gestalting a fighter for your other class is always a great option. Good hp, baurentees a good BAB, at least one good save, and a whole ton of feats. Usually what i do when my buddies say "lets run a gestat game this time." As im not the biggest fan of it. Ok im gonna gestalt fighter barbarian. a barbarian with every rage feat he can think of ever needing. and greater weapon specialization. Ok im a sorcerer who also happens to have full BAB d10 hit die and a ton of running away from combat feats like spring attack, ect. |
| strenoth12-01-06, 05:41 AM | mmm, for the build above, you shoudl be using fraction BaB/saves to get the benifits of the fighter BaB, your placement puts the fighter +1s at levels where the druid side is already providing +1. Also, rogue 3 grants you evasion and uncanny dodge I do believe. The +2d6 SA is minor but not bad either. |
