A player in my group keeps making his own spells, I feel that they're a bit unbalanced myself, but I'd like everyone to voice their opinion and tell me what level they feel these two spells should be

TRIPLE STRIKE
Evocation
Level: Sor/Wiz ???
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60’ft
Area: Cone-shaped burst – up to three targets within or special
Duration: Instant
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
When the spell is cast, the wizard swings a melee weapon in his hand at his targets. The damage of the handheld weapon is inflicted in a wave of damage the same type as the weapon used. Up to three targets may be hit with the weapon damage simultaneously within the cone’s burst effect. Triple Strike may be directed against targets larger than medium size to be hit multiple times. A large target can be struck twice and a Huge target can be hit with all three. Against small targets up to 6 targets may be hit and against tiny targets up to 9 targets may be hit.
The damage from the spell is the same as a normal non-critical weapon hit from the caster but including bonuses from magic, feats and stats. No attack roll is necessary.
Targets with DR against the weapon type used will get that DR multiple time if struck multiple times.

OMNI STRIKE
Evocation
Level: Sor/Wiz ??
Components: V, S, M, F
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Area: 1 target
Duration: 1rd/ per level or until discharged
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
When the spell is cast, the wizard swings a melee weapon in his hand at his target. The mage must successfully hit with the weapon.
On a successful hit the target will take the same damage three more times with the same attack roll result from the first for a total of four strikes. If a critical hit was scored on the first all the other strikes will be critical hits as well. The weapon damage is as per normal weapon strike with that weapon including magic, feats, critical hit threat range and stat modifiers.

MUTIPLICITY
Transmutation
Level: Sor/Wiz ??
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Personal
Area: Self
Duration: 1 round/ per level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
Once the wizard cast’s this spell, she is empowered so that her next spell may be cast multiple times even if it has only been prepared in one spell slot. Each subsequent casting of a spell must come before the duration of this spell ends and before any other spells are cast. Any material component or XP costs of the multiple cast spell must be paid normally for each casting.
The Material Component: A pearl (minimum 10gp) for multiplicity plus another that is nearly identical for identical for every time a spell is cast.

Here's what I'd do.

Triple Strike: 4th level spell.
Comparing it to Magic Missile for a 7th level wizard:
MM: no attack roll, 4 hits, fairly narrow range of targets, can hit one target multiple times, 1d4+1 force damage(no dr, hit incorporable), allows for spell resistance
Triple Strike: no attack roll, usually 3 hits, wider range, max 1 hit/target except large+, weapon damage(a mage using this will probably have a decent weapon), has to deal with DR, bypasses spell resistance

Assuming the caster is using an enchanted weapon that damage will be higher(4d4+4 vs. say 3d8+6(+1 weapon, +1 strength bonus, longsword or quarter staff)), the range of available targets is higher, and it bypasses SR. Also after 9th level, magic missile remains the same whereas this spell will probably get more powerful.

Also I'd only make passive bonuses(weapon enchantment, weapon specialization, etc.) give you any sort of damage bonus. If someone could power attack with a two handed weapon and auto hit three times...

Omni Strike: Really not sure what to base this one off of. I'd say 6th level spell just on a gut feeling.

Multiplicity: 9th level spell or epic
This just screams abuse if it's a lower level; unless you put a cap such as only X level spells or lower can be used in conjunction with this spell, an XP cost, or make the material component very expensive. I'd also change the duration to 1 round/2 levels or even 1 round/4 levels simply for balance sake.

Simplify the spell. Wizard makes attacks as if having a BAB of a fighter equal to his caster level. He adds his Int modifier instead of Str modifier to the attack roll and damage.

As an instantaneous durations, level 2. If prefers one round/level but use up actions as if fighting with the weapon, 4th level. He can do other things, but the weapon won't attack that round.

thanks for the thoughts so far, anyone else?

the char who created these spells is a Spellsword, and really enjoys using either of the striking spells channeled through the sword, I dunno much about it myself
