OK, first, some background stuff. In the movie "King Arthur", one of the knights charge across an ice covered lake towards a saxon warband, in an effort to smash the ice and cause them to plumet into the freezing waters. Naturally, he ends up dead.

The question that has nagged me for days is this: could a barbarian(f.ex) run across a frozen lake, and then, using leap attack, "charge" the ice near the enemy, and smash it, getting the benefit of any and all charge bonuses, whatever these may be? Or would that just be a "move-attack" action(in effect a move action and a standard action), with no bonuses?

All help appreciated.

That sounds like a DM's call type of thing to me. Personally I would allow it because of story reasons, and I like to encourage creativeness in my players.

Yes, I was thinking the same. As a DM, I'd allow it, but ruleswise? I play with a group that sometimes go a bit "ruleslawyer"... I'd also like to have my back covered in case I get a chance(as a player) to do something like that.

There aren't any rules covering something like this, as far as I'm aware, but sure; I'd allow it. I'd treat the Leap Attack against the ice as a charge against an object with hardness 0 and maybe 2 hit points per inch of thickness. If he breaks the ice, he breaks the ice.

First of all, the background is solid; secondly, it's doable: you can charge any object just the same as you can charge a creature - it's all about momentum.
