That very night I spent hours creating an NPC drawing on ideas from both books. The final result was an interesting character, but he was not min-maxed by any stretch of the imagination. Note that he has a magic tatoo on his chest that confers abilities equivalent to a Ring of Sustenence. His cohort (the 52 yr old young adult silver/emerald hybrid dragon Vorelachuakornkethend, called Ervorel by Elric) is a Sor 3. She wears clothing more or less identical to Elric's (amulet +3, ring of sustanence, gray elven boots, gray elven cloak, gray vest of fire resist 10, & gray backback with a BoH w/n), and she carries a Mage Staff crafted by Elric for her use and protection. She was a wyrmling only a year or so old when Elric first received her as a cohort (from her mother), and she has remained with him since. I have about 7 typed pages of fluff, back history, and personality on he and (to a much lesser degree) his cohort. I've also written out the stats for all age categories of his hybrid silver/emerald cohort. When inspiration strikes it really slams hard, ne?
