I was looking at the Prestige Bard and how to make it by fifth level.

I figured Wizard 2 Human or Half Elven Paragon 3 would do it. Or Wizard 4 Rogue 1 or battle sorceror 5 with that feat that gives you an additional skill in class.

My question is... would a 14th-16th level caster, with (before con) about 72-79 HP on average with light armor, a BAB of 14+ and the perks of wizard spell memorization at 20th level be too powerful?

I'm looking at PHB + Unearthed arcana for balance. When you add in complete X books with practiced spellcaster, improved toughness, Battlecaster, etc... *Shudder*

Thanks in advance for your input.

The feat you mention that gives you an extra class skill I think no long exist or works that way. Back in 3.0 in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting there was a feat known as Cosmopolitan that gave you a nonexclusive class skill as a class skill but in 3.5 this feat no longer works this way and i havent seen any other feat like it. If you could clarify on what feat you mean if this one is not it please let me know.

There is a feat in Complete Adventurer that adds two skills (I think) to your list of class skills. I forget what it's called offhand, but I know that it's in CAdv.

Kurama,

The feat is in unearthed arcana, but neither half elf paragon (lose two caster levels) or human paragon (lose one caster level) need it.

That said, I like the idea of a JOAT that can pull off a fireball :-)
