Yesterday my Munchkin game started. As with any Munchkin game, it is not serious and metagaming is part of it.
So the party is a small company which does subcontracting for the special forces of the Ampire. The players actually wrote a contract and all signed it (as their characters), which determines how the loot is to be divided. It includes a 5% for "DM worshipping".

I really don't know what to make of that! I'd like to give them something back in an interresting or funny way. But so far I have no idea!

And I don't know yet how this "sacrifice of the loot" or whatever will happen, as they got their first loot as the game ended and it has not been shared yet.

they probably mean dealing with specific stuff you throw at them. for when they need to bribe people, get specific items that are key to living (potions generaly go there). or w/e they need.
if not, then they intend to buy pizza for the next session???
you could be a deity... *booming voice*"i am lord Bob, all bow before me and roll will saves or be shaken!!!" and give out godly favors (magic items, wishes, stuff liek that)

Let them reroll one die roll per day. For no reason other than because you said so.

DM tribute is about as metagamey as it gets, so why not reciprocate with something equally metagamey :)

You're playing Munchkin. Its a whole new ball game where all the rules of D&D dont matter since you are going to break them anyway in a humorous fashion for the sake of "Kewlness".

Sort of like epic level playing.

Anyway, if its entertaining, run with it. Have them have an angel (or demon if you are THAT kind of DM) Deliver a letter to them with a Big smiley face and a thumbs up saying they are a "sooper playr!" and have it have a coupon that says "Get out of perma-death free card*"

*Does not cover direct DM intervention.

Is playing Munchkin what they do in 'Order of the Stick'?

I say order them a pizza in exchange for their offering.

In game, of course.

And offer them the antidote for another 10%

Hm, does that mean someone could roll a Cleric of DM?

In the webcomic Goblins: Life through their eyes, there's a cleric of Hebert (the DM)

But on-topic, I concur what everyone else said, but add one thing.

Let them do crazier things the more they donate.

No, Munchkin (http://www.sjgames.com/munchkin/rpg/) is a parody of d&d, using much of the same rules but characters grow much faster and stronger.

You're playing Munchkin. Its a whole new ball game where all the rules of D&D dont matter since you are going to break them anyway in a humorous fashion for the sake of "Kewlness".
I use RAW as much as possible and rule lawyering is totally acceptable. I try to face the PCs with interresting challenges byt always within the rules. If I decide that for example some BBEG doesn't follow the normal rules for the way something works, I decide it in advance and stick to it for the encounter.
But, just as munchkin characters are overpowered, the enemies they face can be too, and I dont mind killing a PC or two in a fair fight!

Otherwise, if I kill a PC without any chance for him to survive, that's because I have something in mind... like at some point I plan to have 2 of them killed and raised as a single Ettin (I really loved this idea!!!) and have to find a way to get back to their normal bodies!

Allowing for a reroll in the session is a good idea. But there are already munchkin feats that do just that.

I love the idea of a "cleric of DM"! If it wasn't the fact that they already all worship Gary (as part of the campaign setting), it would be great... but then, maybe the DM could be a false idol, and if they worship me too much the other followers of Gary will see the PCs as heretics!

We shall see what happens... I love playing Munchkin, my players are great, they get all kind of fun ideas by themselves that really add something to the mood of the game! And it's easy to DM, to improvise, as not everything needs to make sense!
