I read the DMG and the PHB and can't find anywhere where it talks about + 1 weapons.
I don't understand how they work.
Say the PC gets a +3 Longsword.
What kind of bonuses does he get if any?????

What does the +1 mean?

Thanks in advance

The +1 through +5 is a magical enhancement bonus that adds to the offensive capability of a weapon.

It means that if you swing a +2 longsword you can add 2 to your attack roll aside from other bonuses you're already getting (BAB, STR mod etc.) and you can also add +2 to any damage you do with the weapon.
