28- You're stuck in a cell with a Kender...That's not a bad thing at all, angryman. Just think:
a. You don't have your stuff with you, so the Kender can't "borrow" anything from you.
b. That cell door will be open five minutes after the Kender wakes up at the latest. (I'm assuming the Kender was unconcious, or else the cell would already have been empty. :P )

31. The prison's healer is experimenting in making undead and needs people to test them out.

32. The PCs are sold to a red dragon who would love to have an army of half-dragons and knows nothing about humanoid anatomy.

33. While escaping, a Drow army attacks the jail and takes the PCs as slaves.

34. 30 years of manual labor in what turns out to be uranium mines.

35. The prison uses wraiths as security guards.

36. The basement turns out to be the Tarasque's lair, and it's about time for him to wake up again.

Have a look at what actually went on in some ancient prisons. Most of them were just dark holes with no windows. People went in, and sat alone in the utter darkness, chained to the wall, until they went mad or got sick and died. A reasonably intelligent society likely uses criminals for forced labor, however. IMC, the Nation of Nedyne imposes a period of slavery on anyone conviced of a non-violent crime - five years to life isn't uncommon. Slaves work the mines, row the ships, form penal legions, etc. Violent criminals are executed. Thus, there aren't any real "prisons" - although there are slave barracks.

37) Assassination attempts. Good job making yourself a stationary target without any spell components for the guy who already hated you, buddy. :schemes:

38) Getting all your fingers broken. Particularly bad if you're a bard. Who used to play the mandolin. And whose last name is Sweetstring.

Good thing he learned to box well in prison (and thus confuse people into thinking he was a monk :thinks: ).

depends.. if it's a one-way door, with a lock on the outside wich is only unlocked if the wolf is coming, it's fun! :D
