I was just wondering what other kind of house rules people have out there. Some of mine include

1. Nat 1 on attack roll, you hit a partner or drop the weapon, if no partners close enough use missed splash damage chart roll d8.

2. Only crit and crit miss on attack rolls, unless situation permits.

3. If you full round and roll a Nat 1 on the second/third/whatever attack you drop your weapon after the attack. (this resently came into action when we got bored and PvPed)

4. Starting level 3, max LA +2 unless I say otherwise.

5. Only use books that I own, and no races from any of the races series.

I only have a few house rules but I'm actually trying to gather more for my next game, and I would like to see what other people have out there.

6. Unlike what it said in the BoVD, I have made the use of drugs chaotic rather that evil, as long as they are not used for spells (I Mean, I [crap, forget I said "I"] can smoke pot without starting the Blood War)

7. Because of a particular elf fanboy: Elves, half-elves and any other race with the word "elf" in it is phorbiden. Including CG dual scimitar-weilding Drow Rangers.

8. No Paladins. No one can handle them.

9. Skills and feats may be substitued if the occasion calls for it.

10. This rule is aimed at same PC as #7: PCs are banned from any kind of Homebrewing

11. Either get into my game or out of my house.

12. Gnomes gain their special abilities at will unless they are useful. (DM i want to make this ale taste better)

13. If somone is being stupid beat them over the head with the closest object perferably a d&d book thats not yours.

14. All dice must be roled on a table, no books, no papers, no floors only the table.

15. If the players rest too much during an encounter then send advanced paragon DM favored Cave trolls at them.

16.) If on the attack roll a one is rolled, a reflex save is made to avoid dropping your weapon, breaking a bow string, etc.

17.) Reroll ones when rolling ability scores.

18.) Max HP per level (no rolling).

19.) No cross-class xp penalties.

20.) If it is a short game, we sometimes give feats every other level.

21.) Do not throw the DM's sandwich at 3 in the morning or something very nasty will happen to your character.

16: Anything the PCs can do the NPCs can too. If you want to play a character that has 8 different prestige classes and uses every loophole in the book, go ahead, but if so the DM will too.

17: Alignment is a guide, not a straight jacket. Lawful Good does not equal Lawful Stupid.

18: Fractional BAB and Saves will be used.

Um, Those aren't house rules. Those are things you do to annoying players.

23. Player's gain 1/2 hp +con mod. +1 for every level after 1st. I.e. fighters' get 6hp +Con mod. Keeps hp above average, but not maxxed.

24. 32 point buy. No rolling for stats.

25. Exploding skills. If you roll a 20 on a skill attempt, you roll a d20 again, and add that to the result. So, if I make a perform check with a 8 modifier and roll a nat 20, then I roll again, getting a 12. The result is a 40. However, there is a down side. If you roll a natural 1, roll the d20 again and add the result as a negative. With the same modifiers I rolled a 1, giving me a 7 perform check, then I rolled a 13, giving me a -6. IF, for any reason, you end up in the negatives, you have either made a serious insult to the King within earshot of a noble, swallowed too much water, missed the ledge and hit your head against the brick wall before falling, etc.. Natural 1's don't mean a failure unless you miss the DC, either.
