i dont know about anyone else, but ym group has had some good times with this game, even when we werent playing. What kind of funny dnd refences has your group made while NOT playing the game?

1) While two were playing Soul Calibur 2, and teh rest were watching:
Player 1: So, since this skin for Nightmare is wearing plate mail, do he have higher armor than the one without the shirt?"
Group:
PLayer 1: what?

2)This is a story i was told by another player in my group: a day or so before, we had just finished a campaign, in which one pc died. One of the players(Austin) was gonna call another(Zack, hes the one whos pc just died), but then he thinks, "no, wait, Zack died.....no, wait!"

the 2nd one is funny to me, but i know the ppl involved, might not be as good if you dont:P

My friends and I are always talking about Spot checks and the like... like I'll miss something obvious and just say "Guess I failed my spot check..."

My wife and I do it all the time... mostly when I make some snide comment and the throws the nearest movable object at me, and i duck... I just grin and say "Reflex Save".

I commonly refer to her purse as a bag of holding...

One time she punched me in the arm, and I moved at just the right time for her hand to make contact with my elbow... which in turn hurt her hand... to which I said, "See, you can hurt yourself on a criticle failure."

Just stupid things... most of which are funnier if you are there an involved...

I like the critical failure one. Of course we do realise that the more we integrate D&D into our lives in this way, the bigger nerds we become... :P
