| Simeon38X10-13-03, 11:42 AM | 43) An ancient powerful sword known as 'God slayer' has been stolen. It is said that the sword can slay any immortal (including deities) with a single stroke. The culprit is an powerful mad-man named Mephisto (CE Paragon Anarchic Umbral Elf Fighter 40/Rogue 30/Epic Assassin 20) who was locked on a demiplane known as the 'Asylum Incarnate', an extraplanar hold for some of the most powerful of the criminally insane. Dawgon has kidnapped the daughter of the highly renknowned Archmage Bettelhos Vecchin (a LG Thri-Kreen Wizard 40/Mage of the Arcane Council 10). Gyttac has formed a cult of sadistic druids lead by Cyyken Slaughterclaw (a Rast Druid 10/Barbarian 30/Bane of Infidels 10) who cause pain for its own purpose, as an ode to their 'god'. Ryshina has enchanted a famous and benevolant royal family of Juysunou (a large nation of Abeils) who now must give in to her demands, or have their hearts eaten by a foul insect she has placed inside each of them. Her demands are indeed most foul, including the one demand for her to have her way with the families children. Can the adventurers stop these foul criminal paragons before they achieve their foul goals?. |

| Andvaranaut10-13-03, 09:34 PM | 45) A powerful sorcerer, out excavating some ruins he stumbled upon on one of his previous journeys, inadvertantly awakens/releases a dormant/imprisioned plant. Not only does this plant predate the creation of the known world (being a part of the primordial shadow-stuff that was before the separation of night and day), but it is sentient, amorphous, capable of possessing anyone and anything it so chooses by mere touch, and desperately wants to return things to the way they once were before it was sealed away by the accidental birth/arrival of the first dieties. The schizm in the newly formed heavens shattered its form and essence, scattering them across the prime material plane in metallic "cocoons," until one day when some poor, unfortunate fool should happen to pass by...just as the sorcerer did... The sorcerer becomes the plant's first victim, and with a new physical form to gestate within, it searches the land for the remaining shards of its former physical self. If allowed to assemble them all, it would spell certain doom not just to all mortal life, but to the very dieties themselves. |

| Simeon38X10-14-03, 11:10 AM | 49) A gigantic mountain has suddenly erupted from the ground next to a great city. This mountain is totally covered in alien runes, that no sage can identify. If that wasn't strange enough, 3 unsual beasts have been seen traversing the city. One walks around in the streets and appears as an unusual, intricate dog-like construct with a skull-like head (N Half-Iron Paragon Nethersight Mastiff). Another has been seen flying through the sky, a bat-like clockwork dragon-headed monster (N Half-Iron Paragon Yrthak). Finally, a mechanical slug-like entity has been spotted swimming through the citys docks and wharfs (N Half-Iron Paragon Sea Serphant). All of them in broad daylight where everyone can see them. | bshugg10-15-03, 09:44 AM | 60. The god that your parties cleric worshipped has fallen. There is a shift of power in the cosmos as other gods step in to claim its power. The cleric feels stirrings that the god still exists in some form. Can he (and the party) reincarnate the god or take over his powers? Can they stop the other gods from moving in and claiming his territory? 61. Epic characters are powerful, but can the party stop a flight of dragons? By themselves? 100 of the largest dragons in the land have been awakened and summoned by the calling of some ancient relic. They begin to lay waste to the area. 3 or 4 dragons? Not a problem. 15 or 16 at a time? Big problem! 62. An Evil party of Epic adventurers have stumbled apon an artifact known as the Chaos stone. With it they have set in place a count down to the distruction of theh universe. Once destroyed they will be able to recreate it by their own command by pulling reality out of chaos. The PC's have a set amount of time to find and stop them. Evil Epics have just as many powers, plus they will be fighting on their home turf! |

| Simeon38X10-15-03, 02:06 PM | 64) A nation of peaceful druidic philosophers named the Gathraan, a gathering point of good shamans and druids of all races, are being beset by five horrible giants (all of them Paragon Corpse-or-Bone Corrupt Bleeding Horror Elder Titans) that attack the large community in raids. Thanks to the combined efforts of the barbarian scurges who normally wouldn't dare attack this place, chaos hold sway over Gathraah However, nobody know's who created them. It certainly wasn't the invading savages. If that wasn't bad enough, Gathraah's leader Oslot Wendiga (NG Alaghi Druid 20/Enchanter 18/Shaman 14) has gone missing, and the nation is in an uproar. There are 3 suspects however. A mysterious beast has been spotted roaming the southern forest at the borders of Gathraah (a CE Incarnate Feral Monster of Legend Rogue Eidolon) who or what it is no one is sure. In the town of Heddlestan a fanatical and seemingly evil cult called the Shadows of Vewxynoa, has sprung openly in the center, having killed the towns head shaman and her family. Its leader Dahlishina Zenchek (a NE Eblis Cleric 20/Divine Oracle 10) claims that her god (who is actually a NE Paragon Insectile Beholderkin Gouger Psychic Warrior 30 who has tricked her into thinking he's a rising deity) has created the Giants as a sign of his eventual arival on earth. Finally a few alien beings have been seen traversing the towns and cities in broad daylight, wacthing and observing the events (they are actually LN Paragon Pseudonatural Inevitables). Who did it?, and how can they stop them before its to late?. HERES ANSWERS FOR ALL OF THEM... A) The monster, attacks the heros without provocation if they try to talk to it. If they slay it, its withers away into nothingness until a figure emerges from the ashes and goo. He quickly awakens and recovers, thanking the hero's for releasing him. His name is Gunba Nightfox (a CG Chitine Necromancer 15) but he wasn't aware that he just inside a gigantic monster. He claims that he cant remember anything, nothing after he was supposedlt knocked out by what felt like a heavy slam at the back of his head. He says he feels as though he was just unconcious, and wasn't aware that he was inside a monster for about a 2 months. So it wasn't the monster... B) The cult have very nasty intentions. Dahlishina was going to sacrifice the women and children of Heedlestan, to her god Vewxynoa. After battling through her minions and a few of her monstrous pets (including a Feral Winged Gambado, Feral Multiheaded Gathra and a Monster of Legend Titanic Stirge) the hero's finally confront her. She calls to Vewxynoa, but realizing 'his' plans failed tells her that he isn't a deity. Distruaght, Dahlishina attacks Vewxynoa and battle ensues. If they helped Dahlishina, she barely sobs out that her fake god hadn't created those giants. She screams out into the night sky that the king is a lier and a tyrant, turning his back on his 'true' comrades. She then stabs herself in the chest, bleeding to death. If they helped Vewxynoa, he hastily anounces that he hadn't created the giants, then in a panic he attempts to buy his way out of death. Its up to party wether they attack him or not. So it wasn't the cult and their so-called god... C) If the party want to try and talk with the mysterious being, they politely say that they merely observing this dimension for their extraplanar studies, claiming to be a study party. If the party are to attack the strangers, the city that they were attacked in is then invaded by swarms of mechanical insects (actually Pseudonatural Clockwork Horrors). Strangely enough however these constructs never harm the observers or innocents, they carefully fly past them and occasionally even keep them from harms way. If they manage to satiate their rage, the alien beings will confess that had given a mortal being a 'gift'. Unfuanately, their alien mindsets mean they didn't specifically know who. So it wasn't the unnatural visitors... So who did it?. Can you guess... : C O N C L U S I O N : It was Oslot Wendiga, Gathraah's very leader! (he is actually NE!). He was part of the Vewxynoa cult in its early days, when their actions were unknown and secretive. Their plan to insinuate one of their senior members into Gathraah's very heirachy. However Oslot recently revealed their plans to the law (whilst keeping his dealings with them a secret) and as soon as the military went to stop them, the cult got nasty and public. The alien visitors, who were just passing, sensed the cascading emotions in this region of the space-time continum and went down. One of their kin met with Oslot and gave him a spellbook, it's alien mindset not understanding the concept of greed or vanity. This book contained an enchantment spell that would dominate someone into casting a spell of another school. He found Gunba and bound him to himself, forcing him to cast a spell normally beyond his level of power. He literally summoned the titans from their eons-old grave. One of the PC's wakes up one morning to find that something about the world is different. None of the other PC's notice any difference. After a few days of this, the PC has a sudden memory of... having had a lover? Someone must have either planted a memory there, or someone has tried to erase a memory. Who is this mysterious person and who wants to keep his/her identity hidden, if she even exists? And why does the PC have the lingering feeling that this mistery lover was incredibly powerful? 73. While travelling through the astral plane, the PC's are sucked into a strange building of some sort. It looks like an observatory... but in reality it's a twisted version of another observatory in the astral plane, designed only to destroy it's counterpart and any who may reside there. To make things worse, horrible things lurk in the corners and shadows... things that seem far removed even from legends in power. Who made this "anti-observatory"? |

In his madness and hatred for religion he creates and executes a ritual, using the Wand of Orcus as the power center, that sends the souls of the dead to opposing planes (meaning Paladins end up in the domain of evil deities, and vice versa. Neutral-aligned characters end up in Limbo or some random place.) Now, Orcus comes and takes his wand back, taking the soul of the mortal with him, as well as the information and secret needed to reverse the ritual. Now the PC's must seek out Orcus (whom hates all things, living and undead) and barter to speak with this Wizard. Meanwhile, the Gods are growing weaker since their dead followers aren't coming to thier planes, and their living followers have stopped praying to them for fear that they may die and end up in the wrong deities domain. (This means that Divine spellcasters will lose their powers gradually). Man, now I need the Book of Vile Darkness and Exalted Deeds so I can run this. Xal |

| Snommelp11-11-03, 10:17 PM | Originally posted by NewDM Every 50,000 years all recorded history is gone on a strange planet. This sentence is confusing me (probably because I'm tired). Would you mind explaining it to me? The rest of the idea sounds really cool, and I'm willing to bet it would sound a lot cooler if I knew what you meant by "all recorded history is gone." |
| NewDM11-18-03, 10:20 PM | Basically, it means that everyone forgets what happened before the "change", and that everyone who has the power to resist disappears. Also, all texts on the planet that record ANYTHING dematerialize. |
| Eco-Mono11-23-03, 01:10 AM | 78.) A conspiracy of several Paragon Mindflayers has been formed, which if successful could spell disaster for the world at large. Basically, they have discovered the existance of a powerful artifact: a sleigh that on one day each year, can activate a Time Stop of unlimited duration. Well if you haven't guessed it already, this sleigh is none other than the one used by Santa Claus, a DR0 epic Wizard with his own demiplane. The Mindflayers plan to sneak onto the plane on Christmas Eve, hijack the sleigh once it has been launched, and visit every person they can find, casting Enslave on them (ie the Epic Spell)... The characters learn about this by way of a crazed man in a tavern in Union, and his story proves to be accurate by divination. Only they can SAVE CHRISTMAS! [ Silly I know, but I needed some excuse to bump this topic! ] |
| MinusInnocence11-23-03, 07:12 AM | 79) While exploring the last true mithril deposit (a vein of ore so pure, it exhibits the qualities of both mithril AND adamantine) and the ancient Dwarven citadel constructed around it, the PCs discover what may have led to the demise of the miners... One of the deepest recesses of the caverns actually delved into a river of lava, revealing the lair of Gorgos (CE Fiendish Paragon Great Red Wyrm of Legend 40th level Cleric of Tiamat), "the Eater." This may or may not be the PCs' lucky day - Gorgos is actually slumbering beneath the "waves" of the magma, and the only real clue as to his existence is the massive hoard of treasure along the walls of the honeycombed maze of lavatubes and spread across the rocks in the main chamber... imagine a series of natural platforms, bobbing up and down in the lava, with Speed reduced by half due to difficult terrain (the treasure piled high). Unfortunately, a trio of Half-Red Dragon Noble Salamanders (Gorgos' mystical offspring, borne of an infernal pact between Tiamat and Thelremundrax, the Lord of the Worms) have come to claim his riches, moving by way of a permanent Portal to the Plane of Fire. One has fifteen levels in Cleric - another in Sorcerer - and the third in Fighter. It is sheer chance that they have come here at the same time as the PCs. As if things couldn't possibly be worse, a group of Drow adventurers has decided to raid the Dwarven citadel at approximately the same time. They, of course, take a different route, one that doesn't lead through the Flame Caves. Each is about 40th level: a Hierophant of Lolth, a Werespider Barbarian, a Vampiric Drow Rogue (taking its supernatural slumber within an Adamantine urn, via Gaseous Form), and a Half-Fiend Sorcerer/Archmage. To top it all off, an unusual trait of True Mithril is its complete nullification of Extraplanar Travel. Teleport, Planeshift, Ethereal Jaunt, Astral Projection, Shadow Walk and the like simply cease to function while within the bowels of the mines, and a caster level check (DC 50) is required to cast the spells in the upper halls, as enough of the Dwarven craftsmanship and treasure is of True Mithril make. Likewise, all Divination fails along the same guidelines, as if the casting were attempted through one inch of lead. The real trick: defeating the Drow AND the Salamanders while getting out alive, even considering the Impeded magic in the Underforge... all without awakening Gorgos! Of course, magic DOES function as normal within the Flame Caves... |

If they head to the astral, they will soon begin to wander towards the fortress, which is unknown to the residents. In truth, millienia ago the Champion Gith took steps to preserve herself by building the fortress and sealing her in a dreamlike statis state where she could see the multiverse but not interact directly. Now, with the Lich-Queen's death, she feels she the time is right to further her goal of healing her decendants hatred towards each other. See, Gith turned good, over millienia she kept an eye on her people and saw them degrade into hatred and xenophobia. Eventually, she learned that Zerthamon had been right and the path she lead her people was a dark one. Bitterly regreting her actions but unable to change them due to a ward she put on her fortress to shroud it from those who didn't know about it- and all the people who knew about it had died. However, when Vlakkie died and her palace of souls shattered, the collective suffering of the Githyanki and their prayers to her prophacy of return infused Gith with enough energy to send dreams out to those who had enough power to breach her defenses and free her so she may reunite the Githzerai and githyanki. One group, is of course, the PCs. |

Something else is granting spells to the deity's worshippers and is slowly corrupting the clergy. Meanwhile, the god, now stuck in the form of a harmless mortal, needs aid in order to truly restore him to his former power, all while remaining hidden from his enemies. 93) The PC's have been called to court to defend the sentient races in a trial to determine if the original sins of mortals should be enforced with a death penalty! | lostone03-10-05, 05:41 PM | Hopefully a similar idea to this hasn't already been posted, I'm still reading through page 2. :D 96. Something has gone wrong with an artifact of immense power, and it is slowly unmaking reality. It has apparently been corrupted in some manner. Legends about the artifact link it's creation to a dead god, and those same legends also seem to indicate that the dead god is the sole way to destroy the artifact. So the group must embark on a quest to discover an ancient temple to this god in an unknown location and find a way to resurrect the dead god. How did the god die in the first place? Was the god killed to so that he would be unable to destroy the artifact once it was corrupted in this way? Was the corruption at all intentional or was the artifact somehow flawed in its creation? |
| Ekranoplan03-10-05, 06:00 PM | 97: The PCs must stop the Black Hole from destroying the world. I would imagine some crazy magic anomalies would be involved in this or prehaps Stephen Hawking. 98: The World the PCs live on is Hollow, and they must stop the Hollow Earth Aliens from turning it inside out. 99: A number of clerics are released unto the world. They are evil (go figure) act independently, and will proceed to transform every city in their path into zombie infested cespools. Ofcourse these clerics are epic level brutes that require they entire party of PCs to defeat, and they are operating in all the four corners of every continent. 100: How about just some good old fashion evil person that wants to kill everyone?, the PCs must stop him. After you have designed this evil guy to be balanced with the PCs ( and probably be a good fight) you increase everything related to this guy by a factor of 1000. Let them chew on that for awhile. 101: I got inspiration for this one from #94. The Planet becomes sentient and starts killing everything. |

The group must find a way to get to the person in prison, obviously without magic, either by going in as inmates or trying to sneak in without detection. When they do get to the person, the infiltration is detected and many devious mechanical traps and defenses are activated. Magic has begun to fail, Mystra (or god of magic on your world) is nowhere to be found, not even the Gods can find her as the driving force behind magic itself begins to fail (the weave is unraveling, the great wheel is slowing down, etc). Epic spells begin to fail, as they need the most energy to remain active. Then a month later 9th level spells, a month later 8th level... How will the world deal with the loss of magic? What happens when all magic is gone, will this trigger some great catastrophe? How will powerful monsters be dealt with as heroes begin to die off without their magical items and healing/protection spells? How long will magic items last? 110. A powerful being has been released from some ancient magical extradimensional prison and has begun a journey across the planes for an unknown reason, destroying anything that stands in his way. It is eventually learned that this being is the avatar of an ancient, powerful god, who was imprisoned moments before the god itself was slain. The prison inadvertently protected the avatar from the backlash of the gods death that would have otherwise destroyed it. Now the avatar searches for the scattered pieces of essence of his god so that he can resurrect his god. |

This quickly growing city is populated by all sorts: giants, undead, ogres, trolls, etc. They are being inspired to work together by a charismatic leader of unknown background and qualities (DM Choice) into fortifying this city. With magic being unusable within the confines of the dead magic zone the powerful races should have little trouble defending their new home. Its sole goal is the utter destruction of the group to maintain the balance on this world. This force of nature is the reason Avatars no longer walk the lands and the gods keep their distance. Will the group find a way to defeat this force, forever throwing the world out of balance, or will they find some other solution? |

| Gurthoron12-01-05, 11:17 AM | 120.) The Mindflayers are planning something. Great Diviners of the land have discovered them gathering magical items, mages, and other items of arcane power in order to carry through on some immense ritual. It seems to be focused around some enormous dish structure, in which is a device to capture and channel arcane energy. As mindflayers are known to despise the arcane, these preparations surprise and worry the council of mages and they hire the adventurers to disrupt this ritual. Unfortunately the adventurers get there just in time to see a beam of pure arcane power shooting into the heavens. Despite their arrival and subsequent destruction of many of the Illithids involved, they remain jubilant. The flayers retreat back into their caverns and wait. Soon, a series of new stars appear in the heavens. New stars that descend as strange craft, bringing numerous mindflayers and odd creations of their twisted genius. (Permanent Ectoplasmic Constructs, or whatever.) Now the world is under attack by an enemy that can strike from below or above, has far more numbers than any previous flayer threat, and can use their technology to bypass some of the greatest defensive structures constructed. Yes, I know its weird, but it goes off the Aberrations book info on Illithids. The best part of this one comes from it being a type of threat the PCs would not know how to deal with. The capability to unload large numbers of troops above a castle's walls just doesn't exist in normal D&D, and it would be difficult to defend against. And when not attacking the mindflayers are practically invulnerable, sitting in their ships in space. |

On some islands, villages on the beach have already been evacuated and dissappeared below sea level. It will be a couple of months before the first major town will be drowned. The pc's must find out what is causing the extensive rainfall. As it turns out, on the bottom of the ocean, a large tribe of Merfolk is at war with a conclave of epic level aboleths. The leader of this group has an artifact that he uses to create the rainfall. They plan to drown the islands and then turn the island's inhabitants into scum. | Tevish Szat12-07-06, 02:16 PM | 128 Forever in a day: The world has become trapped in a 24 hour time loop, and only (or so it seems) the PCs are aware that the world continues to loop back each dawn. With enough divination, they can find that, thankfully, the source of the loop is in the city they are in, but the matter of WHERE is harder. Countless loops (or perhaps countable ones) later, they find the culprits of the time loop: an artifact, held by a capricious mortal who wants to live the perfect day, or possibly commit some act that he needs so many tries to get right. 129 The Devil you Know: It all started with such a SIMPLE epic adventure: beat the tar out of Asmodeus. When the PCs defeat him on Nessus and kill him permanently, however, the entire layer begins to collapse, leaving the characters only enough time to escape. The news of the results comes later: Nessus is no more, but the stair that led down to it now keeps going down, into the darkness past where any being, mortal or devil, could see, and from that depth boomed a voice heard echoing across all of Bator. "I am free, and lord of the Pit once more." Can the PCs deal with the ancient Baatoran that Asmodeus was only able to keep imprisoned, or will they have to align themselves with some rather unsavory allies (Like the Queen of Chaos or Mephistopheles) to put it back? 130 A Matter of Time: Facing a Phane on the Plane of Time is easy... getting home is hard. When the PCs shift back to the Prime Material Plane, they find everything MUCH different, with a different crop of peers in the epic level than they're used to. it is when they hear the names being bantered around that they realize its not a matter of where, but when they are: Welcome to the world when Boccobob was a learned sage, Nerull an epic Necromancer, Obad-Hai a mighty druid... and so on. Clerics and other divine casters still have their powers, but it FEELS different, drawing from the straight forces of their alignment. Do the PCs try to find their way forward, or stay in the past and try to see if they cannot themselves become gods? (Bonus points: having a cleric of a deity of the opposite gender meeting his or her patron, and getting rather… involved. Or, trying this at non-epic levels where a good number of the gods are still puny low level characters as well) 131 "That big, magic-sucking stick everyone's talking about": Fun at the base of the Spire! Drawn to the rather magically DEAD locale for any number of reasons, the PCs find numerous forces working on it, from the Athar printing up vacation brochures for the Gods (so that the faction may try to kill them), to the Doomguard attempting to contract a hulking hurler to throw a gate town at it and knock it down. The Rilmani are rather peeved with various plots, and willing to hire the magic-less PCs to put a stop to the whole business. 132 No Godmother this time: The PCs find themselves on what is quite possibly a different world, as it has a new cast of epics and powerbrokers. Quite coincidentally, all hell is breaking lose in the wake of the heir to the throne of this land being locked in an epic version of Temporal Stasis. Can the PCs deal with the epic sorcerer/air elemental savant werewolf threatening to blow away the wealthiest merchants of the land, liberate the powerful artifacts they need from the Giant King's flying castle, convince a powerful and vain epic sorceress to let them use her divining magic mirror, and still rescue the princess from the clutches of the Hag Countess, exiled from Baator? 133 The Multiverse Next Door: After yet another plane-hopping adventure, the PCs think they can come home to a nice rest, only to find that the local townsfolk are not only significantly different, but want them tarred and feathered! soon it seems, all is not well with their "home"... in fact, it isn’t even their home at all, but an alternate Prime Material Plane! this seems to be the work of the Illithids who, having contacted their duplicates in THIS reality, want to merge the two, or at least the two Illithid populations. Can the PCs both stop it AND get home? |

| High Octane12-07-06, 05:28 PM | Apologising for this one in advance, it just popped into my head: The King has been kidnapped by Illithid Ninjas. Are you an epic enough dude to rescue the King? *DINGDINGDING* We have a thread winner. |
| Orbb_was_railed_by_God12-07-06, 07:29 PM | 134. There seems to be a suprising number of divine-touched people and creatures wherever the players go. In each small hamlet or village there is at least one confused looking young girl or boy with either golden-feathered or bat wings, and an eery otherworldy tint to their skin. As time passes, these features start appearing in young and old alike (half-fiend/celestial template) as if the traits of the upper and lower planes were leaking onto the material plane and infusing the creatures with physical reflections of their own souls...and before long, as you would imagine, powerful factions for good and evil begin to go to war. |
| The_Keeper_Of_The_Flame12-07-06, 08:06 PM | 135. The most powerful casters in the land begin an arguement over the best magic. It eventually develops into a duel where all of their fellow casters fight to the death. A war erupts between Psionics, arcane, blade, dragon, divine, truenaming, shadow, binding, and incarnum. Power struggles among the magicks cause some schools to abandon their fellow casters. The only way to stop it is to retrieve an ancient rod of antimagic that can stop any form of magic. But it is hidden deep within a massive fortress on the plane of magic. After they retrieve it, they must discover how to activate it, an ancient ritual with fragments known by the leaders of each magick, the people who originally began the war. 136. The Yugoloths kidnap the 9 Archdevils and the lords of the abyss and replace them with duplicates following their commands. The Blood War ends and the armies of evil slowly organize for an all out war on good. The only way the war could end would be for the party to reveal the treachery of the Yugoloths, crumbling the evil army from within. But, to do that, they need to find evidence and prove it to the demons and devils. |
| Slightly_Unscrewed12-07-06, 08:28 PM | 136:While plane-hopping, the PC's meet a equal group of epic D20 modern characters. A quick comparison of data by both group's resident smart guys reveal that the PC's cosmology is on a collision course with the D20 Modern characters Cosmolgy. Will an epic effort of Modern technology and arcane secrets prevent the collision? Or will they let the two cosmolgies fuse and hold on tight? |
| PwnageLlama12-07-06, 10:41 PM | 137: The 7 seals to The Supreme Evil one are breaking, and with that, 13 powerful, evil spell casters are loose to make sure nothing is in the way of their Lord's freedom. The PC's must find the seals to keep them safe, before the evil spell casters do, and kill them. The must confront the Supreme Evil one at what is only know as the Last Battle. A bit of a rip of of WoT. |
| Adrinor12-10-06, 02:08 AM | okay, this is a cool one i thought of run 2 campaigns at once in two different settings, for example, one in ebberron and one in dragonlance. the characters from each setting start to notice strange writings in some of the books they've "claimed" froim the evil wizards cabal (in truth, its simply writing from the other world) the wizard's plan is to crash the two worlds together, its going to take effort on both parties parts to stop them! |

| Andorxor12-10-06, 10:01 AM | 139) All kenders of the world have disapeared. Can the PCs find and turn off the source of kenderinvisblility, before they have borrowed everythng everthing shiny on the world? |
| dami_capo12-11-06, 06:56 PM | 140) A first level commoner with a charisma of 18 has risen to power. He now has enough epic items to send his charisma to the stratosphere. All his physical ability scores have a score of 10, and wisdom + intelligence have a score of 8. Through his very persuasive speech and abilities, he has taken control of a vast kingdom and is getting them to do extremely dumb things (why not attack the gold dragon lair? It will get us the red dragons as allies... and we all know which ones are more powerful!). The worst thing is that this kingdom has the best millitary, and was never a threat because of their neutrality to everything. At the moment, they are advancing and attacking all other territories. The worst part is the commoner is so charismatic that he has smart followers, who device plans for him. So once the commoner is destroyed, the plans are still in motion. 141) A very powerful evil NPC is looking for a very precious relic. He believes it is hidden in the 9th layer of hell. As his plan, he kicks Asmodeus out of hell and commands ALL of hell's devils to attack the material plane. The war will last so long that he will have enough time to search for that relic. The PCs need to defend the material plane against the devils; find out the NPCs plan; try to defeat him and fail horribly; find Asmodeus and get HIM to defeat the NPC. Once they do that, they realize that the devils have finally invaded the Material plane, and Asmodeus is not willing to back out of it. The idea is for characters around levels 25-30, with the evil NPC being level 40, and Asmodeus being CR N/A (unlike described in some books). 142) (works only with good characters) The characters are the bad guys. The people are fed up with 'heroes' fighting for the 'greater good' and the 'bigger picture' while ruining the everyman's life. A large group of middle class workers cease to work, and begin campaigning against the PCs. This would be just a social problem if they didn't manage to convince EVERYONE that the PCs - and all adventurers - are evil. The whole plane turns against the characters: The normal people fight against the apparently totalitarian PCs, and the people with class levels fight them because the PCs make them look like they are evil too. In the end, you have clerics trying to end their evil reign; wizards attempting to punish them for getting the arcane arts banned; warriors attacking the players for making the warriors look bad; all while commoners (with bards as inspiration - why not?) throw rocks and yell random things about equality. |
