Hm...last year, while I was running session, I didn't remember that a d4 represented a camp fire in the middle of the PCs' camp site and not a character.

A couple of rounds later an orc charged said camp fire, got struck with swords and burned fairly bad.

Seconded, after Board Rider.

Come on...you don't even have to do a "search" to see these same ones going on...go to What's a Player to Do? and you'll find them.

I was DMing one of my first dungeons, which was leading into a campaign. I had this cult of goblins conducting raids on a nearby city. The PCs went and slaughtered the goblins, and then realized there were two of them hiding in the shadows. Our mage suggested questioning them about the nature of the carvings on the opposite wall, but the two fighters already stabbed them. "WHAT THE HELL?!" screamed the mage, but swiftly remembered charming one of them at the beginning of combat. Striding over to the entranced goblin, the mage gave it a "big hug" and promptly snapped its neck. The thief recalled the mage wishing to question it....The game quickly degenerated to everybody screaming "WOW! WOW! WOW!" at the poor mage. Heheheh.
