| darkhunter200704-04-07, 05:05 AM | i really like humor that hurts the player (in a funny way) so: 1. the PC sleeps on tree and the branched he sleeps on breaks. |
| StalkerEntreri04-04-07, 06:33 AM | Magic missle's a flying pig that the villagers were yelling at "Catch that pig" and then turns evil...loses character Happened to my sorceress...damn it |
| nickcan04-04-07, 07:01 AM | Yea, I don't see how spell thematics can make someone turn evil. Even if it is a stupid as a flying pig. |
| StalkerEntreri04-04-07, 07:10 AM | I agree, and I was starting to enjoy that character and now I am going to have to kill her later |
| nickcan04-04-07, 07:23 AM | OK, I gotcha, unrelated things. I was under the impression that she turned evil because her magic missles looked like pigs. Needless to say, I was a bit confused. |
| StalkerEntreri04-04-07, 07:25 AM | Lol. I still don't think killing a flying pig constitues evil; but doesn't matter. In Star Wars : Having your blaster blow up in your hand and lose your right hand; earning your bounty hunter the name : Lefty |
| Sajek04-04-07, 10:22 AM | He gets captured and baleful polymorphed into a pheasant, whom the rest of the party catches and eats. (Note that this is pheasant, not peasant. People often confuse them). |
| TwistedPuppy04-04-07, 10:50 AM | Half-orc barbarian in a tavern gets into a drinking contest with a group of dwarves. The party finds him the next morning behind a carnival tent, wearing only a pink ribbon tied in a bow. A small roll of parchment is part of the bow, reads: "Had a wonderful time last night. Love, Murgatroyde." Player: "Well, you know I would have left my gear locked in my room at the inn." (Though he never mentioned any such thing.) DM: "Fine. The key to your room is gone as well." |
| Tyraxus04-04-07, 10:57 AM | Actually happened to a friend's PC: He's a charismatic ladies' man that got drunk in port with a lady captain he'd "history" with. He gets so drunk he passes out and doesn't remember a thing. Wakes up the next morning in a four-post bed covered in rose petals, with neither his clothes nor his equipment anywhere in the room, and a note saying "I'm at my ship, come see me before I leave." He pulled the sheet around him like a toga and stalked through town, only to be subjected to her razor wit while the entire town laughed at him ("Rachel, I don't see my sword here." "Yeah, I didn't see it last night either. Oh, you meant your rapier. Here, catch!" is only one of the gems the DM came up with on the spot). |
| nickcan04-05-07, 02:32 AM | This happened to me. I was an elf and in our campaign there are these giants called nohr. They are tough and smart and all around bad-news. Anyway, Elves and nohr have a racial hatred and our party came across a half-nohr living all alone in a cave. Well a fight ensued and my character bit the dirt. The nohr then wanted to parley with the rest of the party and ended up making friends. The next week a new guy joined the group and he wanted to be a half-nohr. So the GM allowed him to take over the friendly half-nohr who killed my last character. He invited us in for dinner and my new character was treated to a nice stew of dead elf. So my current character *ate* my old character. As it turns out elf is good eats! |
| yellowdingo04-05-07, 06:42 AM | 6. The PC Squats over a latrine hole to unload and is acosted by a curious snake who saw an exit and went for it. |
| Disciple_of_Juiblex04-05-07, 09:41 AM | I count 10 11. Attacked by a good rolling Dire Weasle. Happened to one of my players, his freinds were in the next room when the rodent jumped out of a tresure pile. it proceded by attacking, hitting, gappling. the player would then use his turn to grapple it off. Then the weasle did it again. then thrown off... this happend about 8 times in a row before the player finaly screamed "HELP" at 2 hp. |
| snakeman83004-05-07, 11:57 AM | 12. PC gets in a drinking contest and passes out. One of the other members of the party, a Gnome demilich necromancer (yes, this is an epic campaign), gets the bright idea to have the guy moved into bed and has one of his skeletons join him. (The drunk PC's player is afraid of undeath) In the morning, the guy wakes up, rolls over, and is greeted with "Last night was to die for" from the skeleton. (ghost sound was involved) |
| fearadhach04-05-07, 12:02 PM | Ok, not a LONE player, but they were Lvl1...so there is a 1 in there somewhere, right? :D L1 party, 5 PC's. Encounter a LONE BADGER in the woods. A few rounds, several natural 1's (from players) and several natural 20's (from badger), later: 3 members of the party are hovering near neg 10, (one of them done in by another's fumble) the other two are at less than 3 hp, and the caster killed it with a stick...and we were all rolling on the floor. (caster had tried mag. missle...failed concentration check when the badger nat 20'd its AOO) Bonus: DM was NOT cheating, just rolling obscenly well. |
| snakeman83004-05-07, 01:33 PM | Not quite as bad as four level 10's almost being slaughtered by a choker (non-advanced) in my campaign. That was embarrassing for me as DM. |

Really made me laugh! Thank you! |
| Wymarc04-05-07, 08:39 PM | 12. the lone pc is eaten by grues. |
| NerdNumber104-05-07, 09:14 PM | DM forgets to look at the strength of the half-dragon template (my bad :embarrass). The player was a 1st level fighter in a solo campaign (he had a sorcerer companion). I sent a single half dragon kobold that barbequed the fighter in the first round (he had less than -10hp). To save face I made it so he was only dying and had the kobold leave him for dead. Always preview your creatures! |
| Raumz04-05-07, 09:29 PM | Ummmm he gets thrown pantsless into a dungeon cell after failing miserably to assassinate someone he wanted to assassinate for fun?...Long story... 13. The players gets mobbed by and is forced to retreat from hundred of rabbid squirrels :invasion:  |
| Saberus04-06-07, 12:24 AM | 13. The players gets mobbed by and is forced to retreat from hundred of rabbid squirrels Bet he had to watch his nuts!! |
| Kitaki04-06-07, 12:31 AM | 14. Makes the party dwarf cry by shaving him while he sleeps 15. Hang the party druid's pet owlbear by it's feet from the cieling |
| darkhunter200704-06-07, 08:09 AM | 14. Makes the party dwarf cry by shaving him while he sleeps 15. Hang the party druid's pet owlbear by it's feet from the cieling 14. like it! 15. cruel |
| darkhunter200704-06-07, 08:14 AM | 16. when the PC fall asleep, let him dream he wake up with a full bounch of goodys. than let him fight a dagon, make sure he'll win and wake him up :D 17. sell him a "cure XXXXXtreme wounds" but really give him "make XXXXXtreme wounds" (i don't remember the right name in English) 18. sama as above but with Vodka.... |
| Cyanide30004-06-07, 09:07 AM | 19. While traveling by himself in the corridors of a dungeon, the PC stumbles upon a duck, sitting calmly in the middle of hall way. If the PC touches the duck in any way, the duck becomes immediately and permanently connected to the PC. The PC must then carry the duck on his shoulder for the rest of his life. Any attempt to remove the duck results in the duck exploding in puff of feathers, only to reappear on the PCs shoulder. In addition, the duck is psychic. It constantly vocalizes (in common) the PCs surface thoughts at the most inappropriate moments. It also telepathicly communicates the surface thoughts of any person within 30ft to the PC if the target fails a DC 20 will save. This takes place whether the PC wants to hear these thoughts or not. |
