| Jenos_Idanian09-10-06, 11:56 AM | 2. 8 STR halfling rogue tied a rope around a hydra's leg, ran around it twice (think Empire Strikes Back), then tripped it (bloody hydra critically failed the opposed check). |
| orcidas09-10-06, 12:03 PM | 3. So far in the current campaign was my rogue who after suffering a whole world of hurt, was brought back to 2hp by the party paladin. Instead of backing off from the Ogre dishing the hurt (we are only 3rd level) in the rogues next turn he went round the side of the ogre gained flanking and BAM 19 points of damage later the ogre dropped like a stone. Note party thinks rogue should learn to retreat rogue thinks dead monsters means more treasure. |
| Raiden Drake09-10-06, 12:40 PM | 4.I allways remember when at level 14~15 they beat Kazro The LE Mature Adult Gold Dragon that comanded part of the army that was going to invade the conuntry ... The party: Xyxywyywyxyx The CG Diaboli Cleric of Selune Dael "I just jump..." The LG Half-elf Monk Dante The half-fey NG Warmage Dana The LG Drow Sorcerer/Rouge/Paladin of Tyr I didnt think they could pull it off, they manage to pass the enemy lines, find the dragon lair. They try to ambush him when he was retunrning to home but the dragon was ready for such contingence... So the dragon was the one that really ambush the party and even then, they beat him... I was really impresed, that pased to be one of the most well know tales in my campain world, even now the new party (playing in the same world 20 years later), hear about it from bards and story tellers... |

| InsertNameHere09-10-06, 01:49 PM | I've had PCs get their brains blown out by a 17-th level psionic NPC. Twice. |
| AlphaSquirell09-10-06, 02:41 PM | I've had PCs get their brains blown out by a 17-th level psionic NPC. Twice. Bah, my group's monk could do that 3 times. AFTER the Psion died. LOL. 7. The Monk (see above) managed to trip a trap, and then tripped it again to see if it reset. He KNEW where the scythe would swing, and how to trigger it, and could easily avoid it (second highest Ref, only beat by the Elf Scout with 20 Dex), and he STILL got hit. 8. Monk (see above) in an earlier campaign played a Fighter/Monk/Drunken Master. (forget his race, but this was the campaign that I ended because I noticed that we weren't using LA and CR with our new "monster" races, and it didn't help when my level 7 Rakshasa Sorc had a CL of 14, but we treated him like a level 7....) Anyways, he managed to get hit, several times. (3 nat 20's on ONE attack, would have been "insta-kill", but we let him have a Fort save and he was stabalized at -9) Then, I (the Sorc), got a bit of insight from the Druid/OgreMage/Were-Tiger. (see, we WERE overpowered, because only those 7 levels of Druid were being used in CR and LA, and all that) Anyways, he says "Polymorph grants him extra HP!" So now, we have a Green Dragon with about 12 HP in the fight. We revived our buddy by Polymorphing him. Bah, and they say you have to have a Cleric to expect to survive.:D |
| feartheinvinceblehamster09-10-06, 02:45 PM | The PCs were hunting for a powerful sword to help them slay a demon lord, and the Guardian is menacing them. Samurai: I use Greater Kiai Shout. *Demon fails save.* Me: Mother :censored: *Demon flees* Samurai: Well that was easy. |
| metamind09-10-06, 03:00 PM | I dont believe you! On their own with only four mistakes? Impossible! :D That's exactly how I felt! |
| BigBing09-10-06, 04:18 PM | 16th lvl halfling monk pinning down a 20th lvl rakshasa wizard, so the wizard was effectively taken out of the fight until his contingency spell teleported him away… |
| rostos09-10-06, 04:33 PM | 5: one of my players actually managed to make a character all by themselves. With only four mistakes! one of my players was actually able to PLAY when they came to my place, as in, there were no: "I still need to find X feats", or, "what does flurry of blows" do questions |
| Secrets Untold09-10-06, 04:38 PM | one of my players was actually able to PLAY when they came to my place, as in, there were no: "I still need to find X feats", or, "what does flurry of blows" do questions That's my DM for you. I'm the only person capable of doing those things in my groups. I it. |
| Alcari Ambaron09-10-06, 05:22 PM | The number would be 11 i think...counting only the REAL things. 11) hmm, my character (level 12 favoured soul) single handedly beat a level 16 drow wizard and a cr 14 white dragon while outsmarting a second dragon. here's what happened. We talked our way into the wizard's tower to reclaim a red dragon egg. I asked to see the egg. Then grabbed it, used cloack of the mountebank the get outside, Mount to run for it. The wizard then tele'd in (the party was chopping their way out of the tower) with two dragons. Two castings of Harm later, the wizard was dead, one dragon mortally wounded. One cometfall later, the count was one wizard, one dragon. Then a teleport by me got the dragon egg to the Red dragon, and the white was dead meat. |
| Krompt09-11-06, 07:47 AM | 12 i suppose-Level two Halfling Rogue beat a level 20 Orc Fighter NPC in a grapple..the action went as *Orc thrown from Inn after Halfling claimed he ate another Orc's food *Halfling stepped over Said Thrown out Orc *Orc grabs Halfling who fails the first grapple and is spun around and about to be thrown *Halfling gets a Nat 20 on his Grapple (orc got a Nat 1 on the opposed), so the Halfling is thrown about 2 inches, grabs the almost 8 foot tall extremely heavy Orc by the hand that he just threw the Halfling with and in midair spins, flips, and bodyslams the Orc to the ground and continues walking |
