#1. My gnome ranger/bounty hunter (profession, not class), Shadowstalker Woodsfriend the Trueseeing, Slayer of Vampires. CG archer.

We finally reached the BBEG of a section of the campaign and he was an ancient vampire monk. As he began his pre-fight speech he was about to explain what was happening and let us know loads of information and tell us why he was acting as he was, who he was working for, where we had to go next and so on (all very James Bond), however, he opened with something like "I may as well tell you all now as within minutes you will be made my vampire spawn and be working for me..."

Shadowstalker had already seen his half-gnome-half-halfling friend turned into a vampire and had to stake him as he laid his body to rest, as soon as the vampire threatened to turn him and the rest of his friends into vampires he said "like hell, you'll die first!" and opened fire.

Violence and mayhem ensued, the vampire monk was killed and we never found out any information at all.

Despite much criticism from the other players I stuck stubbornly to my reasoning:

It's what he would have done!

#2. I'll tell the SHORT SHORT form of the story of Cynvanter the psychotic dark elf fighter.

Always named his horses, Quigby McGee Jones ___(insert Roman numeral.) Horses had a nasty-bad way of getting killed in this campaign, so it got up to around VI before it was all done.

Adventured with a Paladin, whose favoured method of attitude control was the Subdual Shield Bash.

Specialised in the BROOM as a weapon.

Challenged the Captain of the Guard of a major city to a Broom fight. The Captain intentionally broke his broom and beat poor Cynvanter into the ground.

Burned down a tavern because he saw a spider in the wine cellar. He and the Paladin were then wanted criminals...

Saw wanted posters of him and the Paladin, grabbed as many as he could, and turned to his horse. "Quickly, Quigby... help me eat them!!"

Obtained a Wand of Polymorph Other... turned a town guard into a Dire Rabbit... and tried to ride it. Later, paid a stable-hand 10000 Gold Pieces... by coshing the poor lad over the head with it... stole the kid's pants and stuffed them with some straw... tied this half straw-man around his head... and walked into the tavern announcing: "Hear me, my subjects! I am the RABBIT LORD!!!"

My druid once managed to summon a death slaad but since she wasn't familiar with summoning rituals she set him free and the death slaad took control over her.
