qlawdat 09-24-07, 08:32 AM	I try to give my npc's secrets. I find this can add a lot of life to them, and if the secret never comes out, well you can always move the secret to a another npc. So here we go; 1)The characters mother is the long lost princess of a foreign land 2)The character is really a werewolf/vampire/changling 3)The character once met a forest god in the woods and that had a profound effect on them 4)The character is a run away 5)The character has committed murder and and is always nervous because of it. 6)The character was in an insane asylum for two years. 7)The character has a great fear of blood 8)The character is really a functioning serial killer 9)The character is and alcoholic 10)The character is planning on killing his boss and taking his/her business

A few secrets more conducive to functioning in-game. 25) Character is gay. 26) Character needs money for a sibling's medicine. 27) Character has a letter from her first love on her person at all times. She will go to any length to keep it safe. 28) Character was dominated briefly in the past and forced to perform an act he still feels guilty for. 29) Character's family is a long line of necromancers. As a result, she is not frightened at all of the undead. 30) Character never eats meat after being stranded in the mountains for a long winter. He avoids the other survivors whenever possible. 31) Character served as a page to a famous paladin for many years. She alone knows that he was a drunk, and conceals this knowledge out of respect for her old master. 32) Character is a masochist. 33) Character - NG to a fault - is a sadist, excited by the pain of others. 34) Character grew up a beggar, and will always side with the poor against the rich. 35) Character is a transvestite.

The village Maypole where young unmarried women dance around during the spring festival is actually a totem of power used by the town council. A fraction of their life power is leeched, which in turn is used to improve what would be an otherwise barren land, yet can sometimes seriously deplete a womans life span. 81. NPC is absolutely ordinary; he has none of the flaws mentioned above, and his only apparent fault is that he/she is extremely boring.
