DM: "Um, a few" PC: "What are they about" DM: "um, well lets see...there...is...a...book...on...how to make rabbit stew..." PC: "Are there any lanterns on the wall" DM: "Um, sure, I guess" ...... Ever had something like this happen to you? You are just giving a brief description of a simple room that does not really hold a whole lot of significance, but the PC's insist on learning every crevice of the room? This Thread is for just that. A bunch of detailed room descriptions that DM's can just use for any room in the game. They don't have to be important. A study, a bedroom (oh boy that one gets trickey), a kitchen, a dungeon room, a prison cell, an office, anything is fair game, as long as it has walls. Detail is the key here. The more interesting things about the room that don't have any in game effect, the better. And the more variations on commonly used rooms, the better (Bedroom for instance). One last thing. Put the name of the room, or the title of the room as a title so that they can be looked through easily. |
